Mission
SANGAM has come up with a mission to play a facilitating role to improve the economic standards through development of entrepreneurship culture among the families under poverty line, human resource development, natural resource management and environmental conservation.
Goal
To provide support to poverty reduction initiatives by bringing low income families to start market oriented and sustainable enterprises by maximum use of local resources.
Objectives:
SANGAM’s activities focus on the following issues, but do not exclude interfaces with neighbouring fields:
- To provide embedded business development services (formal/informal and financial/non-financial) for the development and promotion of micro and small enterprises.
- To encourage and generate awareness for the local community to start and promote local resource based and market oriented micro enterprises.
- To provide entrepreneurship, technical skill and knowledge based training for enterprise creation and development as well as income generation activities.
- To uplift livelihood of the marginalized and poor communities e.g. Dalit, Indigenous Nationality and women as well as mainstream in the development activities. To implement social mobilization and social development programme as well as natural resource management and environment conservation related activities.
- To sensitise and campaigning against worldwide epidemics like HIV and AIDS and provide supports for prevention and control of such diseases.
- To launch awareness and extension programme related with decentralization and good governance, health, education environment, community development and energy at local level.
